Today, 07/08/2026, I had a long text conversation with Reinhard on the current state of affairs and how the cost of living has been on the rise. We talked about everything wrong with D.Trump and the sad state in Iran and Gaza. We ventured into AI safety and the need for a proper governing laws before AGI. I noted my deep concern for the recent cutbacks by major AI companies in the AI safety space, given its urgent need now more than ever. Humanity is on the line and it's super disconcerting that we', as a generation, are willing to put our very essence as human on the line for small conveniences like having a self-driving cars. I also pointed out how it's been feeling more like we're living in a matrix or a simulation given the mishappenings that are occuring more than normal. We talked about how risky it is to give a single entity too much power, be it the government or private company, moreso when it comes to foods as the currently driven agenda of seedless fruits etc. It was insightful to learn and share out knowledge on these areas and to know that someone else also has similar concerns. Reinhard was also kind enough to share some remote job links for my sake, lol!
